Sportsfest and 42nd Anniversary
To commemorate the Alicia Water District’s 42nd Founding Anniversary, the district conducted a one-day sportsfest and treat all employees to a samgyupsal restaurant in Santiago City on November 18, 2023.
The celebration kicked-off through a Zumba dance conducted by Mr. Dhudz Tabilangon, a Zumba instructor. It was then followed by the prepared sporting activities such as dart, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and cheering competition, in which the positive, resilient, and dedicated ALWAD personnel participated. The employees were divided into three groups namely yellow, green, and red. Moreover, after finishing all sports games, a simple program was conducted in which four employees received their loyalty awards namely: Engr. Agrifino Agpalza- 25years of service where he received P5,000.00; Mr. Jefferson Rivero and Mr. Camilo Gacal received P5,000.00 each for 15years of service; and Mr. Marvin Albino- 10years of service where he was rewarded with P10,000.00.
The program aimed not just to celebrate the founding anniversary, but also to help employees improve their mental and physical health, build teamwork and camaraderie, and allow employees to relieve stress from their day to day works.
To conclude the day, employees were treated to a nice Korean restaurant where they were amused with bounty and delicious foods.

To honor International Men’s Month 2023, the Alicia Water District held a two-day excursion in Baguio City and Bauang, La Union on November 25-26, 2023.
The group departed from Alicia, Isabela at 3:00 AM and arrived at Baguio City, Benguet at 10 o’clock in the morning. Employees visited different tourist destinations such as Heritage Hill and Nature Park, and SM City Baguio then afterwards went to Flores Beach Cottages at Bauang, La Union. The group spent the night at a beach resort where they had the opportunity to unwind and hang out while eating delicious seafoods and lovely drinks. A short program was carried out while the group was bonding. The session began with a prayer conducted by Mr. Danilo Semodio, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Gerry Yasay and Mr. Jefferson Rivero. Mr. John Joseph Dulay and Mr. Arjay Felix were also asked to deliver their messages as the birthday celebrant and the newest employee to enter the district, respectively. Moreover, selected people from each section provided intermission numbers, making the night even more vibrant. Mr. Jeorge Tomas, General Manager, concluded the program with a message.
On the second day, employees enjoyed swimming and boating at the beach, and they were also delighted by playing recreational games. The company departed from the beach resort to return to Benguet, where they visited the strawberry farm in La Trinidad as well as the Baguio City Night Market where they were satisfied with various food delicacies and other delightful goods.
Christmas Salo-salo
To celebrate and feel the true essence of Christmas, the Alicia Water District organized a simple program and Christmas Salo-Salo on December 22, 2023 at ALWAD Main Office.Prior to the start of the program, employees engaged in recreational activities.The event started off with a prayer led by Ms. Jennifer Dela Cruz, and was followed by a welcome address given by Mr. Arjay Felix. Each member of the ALWAD Board of Directors including the General Manager had the opportunity to speak and deliver their Christmas messages to the entire organization. Representatives from each of the four divisions gave intermission numbers, making the celebration even more colorful and delighted. The program concluded through a closing remark given by Mr. Carlo Pascual.Following the conclusion of the program, the much-anticipated Christmas Salo-Salo began. Employees and officials were provided with flavorful drinks and tasty treats. The night finished with the distribution of monetary incentives and a Christmas package to both district employees and officials.

Year-end and Family Day
On December 29, 2023, the Alicia Water District carried out a Year-End Celebration and Family Day at the ALWAD Main Office to celebrate the district’s successful and flourishing year in 2023.
The program had two parts. The first part took place during a meeting between management and the board. Section heads brought out their teams’ successes in 2023, while general manager Jeorge Tomas presented the board’s accomplishments for the year. Following the presentation of milestones from employees and officials, a question-and-answer session with management and the board took place, during which employees were free to address their own issues. On the second part of the event, employees indulged in various activities such as recreational games, intermission numbers, and raffle draw. Employees and the Board of Directors were also given the opportunity to take a family photo.
After finishing all of the prepared activities, employees and officials had their meals together with their families.
